Maharashtra State Candidates :

An Indian National candidate who has passed the HSC or equivalent examination with PCB or PCM group and English, securing a minimum of 50% marks (150/300) – or 45% marks (135/300) for candidates belonging to the backward class category from Maharashtra State – is eligible for admission at Ithape Institute of Pharmacy.

OMS Candidate :

A candidate passing HSC or equivalent examination from a college outside Maharashtra will be considered as an 'Out of Maharashtra' candidate. Such candidates must have passed the HSC or equivalent examination with PCB/PCM group and English, securing a minimum of 45% marks to be eligible for admission at Ithape Institute of Pharmacy.

Direct S.Y.- B. Pharm. :

Diploma holder candidates who have passed a Diploma in Pharmacy with a minimum of 50% marks from an institute approved by AICTE, whether in Maharashtra State or outside Maharashtra State, are eligible for admission at Ithape Institute of Pharmacy.

Admission Procedure :

Admission to the First Year B.Pharm program at Ithape Institute of Pharmacy is carried out through the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra State, Mumbai.

The merit for admission is determined based on the score in the MHT-CET (Pharmacy) examination, conducted by DTE in the month of May every year. Notifications regarding the examination are published by the Government of Maharashtra in leading newspapers, and the detailed rules, schedule, and important dates are provided in the brochure issued by DTE.

Admission to First year B.Pharmacy shall be done under two stages :

Cap Round :

Under CAPthree round seats will allotted.
Government Quota : 80%
Management Quota: 20%

Admission to seats falling vacant after CAP rounds :

Seats remaining vacant after the completion of CAP rounds shall be filled by the Head of the Institute through an advertisement and by preparing a relative merit list of candidates applying for such seats. Applications for these vacant seats will be invited through advertisements published in national newspapers.

Interested candidates must apply in the prescribed forms available at the college office in response to the advertisement. The merit list of applicants will be displayed on the institute’s notice board, along with the last date of reporting for admission.

Fees :

The candidates selected for admission should pay the fees under different heads & as prescribed by Fees Regulating Authority from time to time. The exact time of the fees payable by the candidates will be notified at the time of admission. The different heads of fees are follows :

  • Tution Fees

  • Library Fees

  • Gymkhana, Student’s Welfare, Annual Medical checkup, Sports Fees etc.

  • Contribution to journals & catalogue, Study material

  • Computer Fees/ Computer Laboratories Fees

  • Placement activities

  • Seminar, Workshops & Industrial Visits, Internal Examinations

  • Development fees

Cancellation of admission by Institutions –

a) Candidates shall apply online for cancellation of admission and submit a duly signed copy of the system-generated cancellation application to the institution.

b) Upon receiving the duly signed admission cancellation request within the schedule published by the Competent Authority, the institution will cancel the admission immediately, generate an online acknowledgement through the institutional login, and issue a signed copy to the candidate.

c) Refund of fees (on or before the cut-off date of admission declared by the Competent Authority) shall be made within two working days. The refundable amount will be the total fee minus ₹1,000 as processing charges, or as per the refund rules laid down by the appropriate authorities or the State Government.

d) If the admission is cancelled after the cut-off date, no refund will be applicable, except for the Security Deposit and Caution Money Deposit.

e) No institution shall withhold or refuse to return any original documents (such as certificates, diplomas, degrees, or other awards) deposited by a candidate at the time of admission. Institutions are not permitted to use such documents to compel a candidate to pay fees for a course or program that the candidate does not intend to pursue.

Rules and regulation for : For B. Pharm. & M. Pharm.

  • In the State of Maharashtra all admissions for Professional Colleges including B. Pharm. & M. Pharm. are made by Centralized Admission Process (CAP) by competent authority except few admissions at Institute Level by the college as per the rules and regulations published by Competent Authority for the respective academic year.

     

  • The Competent Authority conducts Common Entrance Test (CET) for the candidates.

     

  • The CET for admission to B. Pharm course was conducted on 10th May 2018.

     

  • Every student (Maharashtra State / OMS / All India Level Candidates) seeking admission to B. Pharm course must have appeared for MHT-CET-2018 or NEET.

     

  • The MHT-CET 2018 brochure has been published and is available on the website dte.org.in.

     

  • The eligible students have to register at Facilitation Center (FC) allotted by the competent authority and get the original documents verified and have to submit the Xerox copies of documents at FC.

     

  • The inter-se-merit list is published on the website by competent authority on the basis of CET 2018 and NEET score.

     

  • All types of candidates seeking admissions to B. Pharm under CAP must register and get documents verified at designated FC including Institute Level admissions.

     

  • Students have to fill the Options online or at FC through their login.

     

  • The provisional allotment of CAP is displayed on website as per the schedule published.

     

  • The competent Authority conducts the specified admission rounds.

     

  • The allotted students report to Admission Reporting Center (ARC) in the given specified period. The list of ARC is published on website.

     

  • The candidates report to allotted Institute and confirm the admission along with original documents and fees.

     

  • For admission to M. Pharm course, student must have appeared for the GPAT 2018.

     

  • The merit list for M.Pharm is prepared on the basis of GPAT score.

     

  • Admissions of M. Pharm are done by Competent Authority through online CAP rounds.

     

  • The Direct S. Y. B. Pharm. admissions are also made by (CAP) as abovent shall come late or leave earlier during Theory and Practical hours and must follow the academic time table.

Direct Second Year Against CAP Vacancy:

Diploma holder candidates who have passed a Diploma in Pharmacy with a minimum of 50% marks from an institute approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), either in Maharashtra State or outside Maharashtra State, are eligible for admission to the Second Year B.Pharm (Lateral Entry) against CAP vacancy seats as per the admission schedule.
